Black Ops updates hit platforms

Treyarch has barraged all three versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops with updates, with PC getting it's game-busting lag serious shock treatment therapy.

The studio promises that more tweaks and fixes are in the works. PC also got a performance boost with "dual and quad core" systems.

All these niggles didn't stop Call of Duty: Black Ops from taking the spot as the bestselling videogame of all time, pushing 5.6 million copies in the US and UK within one day - equalling $360 million in sales for Bobby Kotick's second sky lodge fund.

"We are listening to you and we’ve been busy working on updates based on feedback from the community. We have already deployed a number of updates, and there will be many more to come," said Treyarch to the PC gamer crowd.

- has bumped sv_maxrate to 25000 across all servers to reduce lag.
- continues to improve official server distribution in various worldwide regions.

- Friends fix for join in progress and Friends tab in server browser.
- Performance improvement for dual and quad core.
- Improved connectivity with Black Ops Rcon tool.

- GPU hitching on certain graphics cards.
- Incomplete server browser results.
- Improvements to Quickmatch joins (results with better ping and reduced lag).
- Zombies "The game session is no longer available" error.

Call of Duty: Black Ops released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this week.
