Rumour: Kojima's Metal Gear Solid: Rising won't slice until 2012

Next year apparently won't hold a release for Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid: Rising as it will instead wait until 2012 before the studio finishes.

Rising drops the 'Tactical Espionage Action' gameplay synonymous with the Metal Gear series and it adopts 'Lighting Bolt Action' in its place.

Raiden is the star character of Rising and it's a word that means thunder and lightning in Japanese. We get to slice and dice tons of bad guys although some sneaking has been promised in the title. Hideo Kojima is attached only as an executive producer.

So far there's no word of confirmation from Kojima Productions if this latest Metal Gear entry will indeed miss 2011 altogether for a window in 2012 or not. Metal Gear Solid: Rising releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC when it does.
