SOCOM developer Slant Six Games is allegedly full steam ahead on a new Resident Evil game subtitled Racoon City, and appears to be team-based.

At least that's what a leaked document suggests. Slant Six reveal they've got a "world class franchise" they're working on, while Capcom says 'no comment'.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation for PS3 was made by Slant Six, as was Tactical Strike and Fireteam Bravo 3 for PSP. If it’s true then Vancouver (in that place called Canada - yeah it's real) will be home to yet another zombie uprising.

"Capcom does not respond to rumors and/or speculation," said buzzkill Capcom.

"Everyone here at Slant is very excited as we begin development on an amazing new project. The title is unannounced so far but we are very pleased to be working with our new publishing partner on a world class franchise!” blabbed party-going Slant Six.

It would seem the circumstantial evidence screams 'fact'. Resident Evil 5 already was a major departure from the traditional roots of the series, getting mixed reactions.
