New Vegas patch in "final testing"

Bethesda developers have announced that a "comprehensive patch" for all platforms should be with Fallout: New Vegas players "in the coming weeks."

This will address the Xbox 360 save issue as well as other reported mishaps. An "incremental update" for PC will release early this week.

"We’ve come up with solutions for the Xbox 360 save issue folks are reporting, along with a number of other issues being reported. We’re currently running final testing and certification on a comprehensive patch for all three platforms (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), so we’ll have something available in the coming weeks," blogged the Bethesda team.

"In the meantime, an incremental update for PC should be going up by early next week that will fix the save corruption issues and problems with companions, as well as improve performance for NVIDIA users and resolve some issues reported with Havok."

Great news for PC gamers as we get some of our glitches addressed sooner and hopefully it will banish those particularly nasty framerate drops. We reviewed Obsidian and Bethesda's Fallout: New Vegas so why not check and see what we thought of it?
