Midnight launches today in the UK for Call of Duty: Black Ops

Retailers GAME and HMV will be keeping stores open past midnight for the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops, which releases tomorrow officially.

A price war has ignited over Activision's latest shooter with many offering trade-in deals which slash the price of Black Ops as low as 99p.

While GAME is keeping all its stores open for the midnight premiere launch, HMV is opening 70 of its locations with their Oxford Street flagship playing host to the main launch event and offering free goodies.

As for the price war, a number of retailers and supermarkets are gearing up to try and offer the best deal they can. Here's the list:

- Asda
£4.97 if you trade in Fallout: New Vegas, Fable III or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, otherwise it's £36.97.

- Best Buy
£29.99 with no special conditions attached.

- Blockbuster
99p if two titles are traded: Medal of Honor, Fable III, Fallout: New Vegas, EA MMA, F1 2010 or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II - £44.99 on its own.

- GAME/GameStation
£24.99 if purchased along with any chart title or you trade in Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or FIFA 11.

£7.99 if Medal of Honor is sacrificed as otherwise it's £42.99.

- Morrisons
£29.99 if bought with another chart title or it's £39.99 on its own.

- Sainsburys
£27.97 if £30 or more is spent in the store, otherwise it's £37.97.

- Tesco
£25 when purchased with a 2100 Xbox Live Points Card, 3 Months Xbox Live Gold Membership or a £20 PSN Card. It's selling for £36.97 on its own.

Call of Duty: Black Ops releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC November 9th. Will you be going to any midnight launches in your area to pickup Treyarch's latest?
